About our program
Our accelerated training program combines professional logistics training, online certification, and frequent testing. Focused learning means completing your studies and entering the workforce quickly. Our unique model allows you to receive one-on-one support to guide you through your training and answer any questions about what you’ve learned or how it will relate to the workplace.
Based on the Canadian International Freight Forwarding Association (CIFFA) training certificates, this program introduces you to air, ocean, truck and rail transportation through a 17-week program, featuring one-on-one online instruction, computer-based training and possibility of hands-on experience in Canada.
After successfully completing our 17-week program you will earn a CIFFA Advanced Certificate, CIFFA Certificate, and qualifying students will also earn a FIATA diploma.

Certificate in International Freight Forwarding
MODULE 1: International Transportation & Trade | This course introduces the student to truck, rail, air and ocean transportation and the geography over which goods move. Incoterms® 2010 rules outline the transfer of costs and risks as the goods are transported from seller to buyer. |
MODULE 2: Essentials of Freight Forwarding | Understanding how buyers and sellers manage risk with a variety of international payment methods and cargo insurance, the knowledge of commercial documents and their completion, export packaging, cargo security, dangerous goods and alternative transport solutions enable students to properly cost and quote on a shipment. |
Advanced International Freight Forwarding
MODULE 3: Specialized Freight Services | Moving beyond the ordinary, the Specialized Freight Services course explores the subjects of project cargo and air and ocean chartering. Extensive portion is devoted to customs and regulatory compliance leading students to the topic of transportation law and legal liability, including CIFFA’s Standard Trading Conditions. |
MODULE 4: Supply Chain Management & Marketing | This introduction to logistics and supply chain management concepts includes discussions on technology, the increasingly important green logistics as well as basic concepts of sales and marketing. |
FIATA Diploma in Advanced Freight Services
FIATA (International Federation of Freight Forwarding Association’s) | This course introduces the student to truck, rail, air and ocean transportation and the geography over which goods move. Incoterms® 2010 rules outline the transfer of costs and risks as the goods are transported from seller to buyer. |
Successful completion of the Advanced Freight Services course along with the CIFFA Certificate prerequisite (Courses 1 & 2) qualifies you for the Internationally recognized FIATA Diploma. This course explores the subjects of project cargo and air and ocean chartering, international customs and regulatory compliance, transportation law and legal liability. |
